Visit Malam Jabba

Malam Jabba is a hill station in great karkoram mountain range. Malam Jabba is most beautiful and most visited area of Pakistan.
How to Get it?
it is nearly 314km from Islamabad and 40km from Saidu Shrif, Sawat valley. You can also enter in this heaven by air just 51km Saidu Shrif airport.
This area has a great resort ski rsort name Malam Jabba Ski Resort.



Two trekking trails are located near the Malam Jabba resort. The first passes through the Ghorband Valley and Shangla Top and starts about 18 km from the resort. The other trail passes through the Sabonev Valley and is about 17 km from the resort.

Malam Jabba Ski Resort
The Malam Jabba Ski Resort, owned by the Pakistani Tourism Development Corporation, had a ski slope of about 800m with the highest point of the slope 2804m (9200 ft) above sea level. Malam Jabba Ski Resort was the joint effort of the Pakistan government with its Austrian counterpart. The resort was equipped with modern facilities including roller/ice-skating rinks, chair lifts, skiing platforms, telephones and snow clearing equipment.

Balakot

It is the gate way to Kaghan valley and you can take some rest to refresh yourself for further memorable journey. You can drive 72 km from Abbotabad  to Balakot.It is  spectacular misty mountains and lush cool landscaping have been an inspiration for nature lovers. the visiters can refresh them in balakot cool atmosphere for furhter journy to Kaghan Valley. The earthquake of october2005 affected this beautiful city but brave inhabitants face it with unity and show more hospitality for visitors. "K2" Highest Peak of Karakoram Range

Most of the high peaks in Pakistan are in Karakoram range, the highest of which is K2 also known as Mount Godowin Austin. It  is the second-highest mountain on Earth after Mount Everest. With a peak elevation of 8,611 meters(28,251 ft). It is located on the border between the Taxkorgan Tajik Autonomous County of Xinjiang, China, and  in Gilgit-Baltistan of Pakistan. The word k2 is derived from notation used by the

 Great Trigonometric Survey and sketched two prominent peaks by k1 and k2. K2 is known as the Savage Mountain due to the difficulty of ascent and the 2nd highest fatality rate among the "eight thousanders" for those who climb it and it has never been climbed in winter. An Italian expedition finally succeeded in ascending to the summit of K2 on July 31, 1954. K2 is a much more difficult and dangerous climb, due in part to its more inclement weather and comparatively greater height from base to peak. There are many routes to access but Abruzzi Spur and North Ridge is mostly taken to ascent.

Nanga Parbat

Pakistan is home to many mighty mountains above 7,000 meters (22,970 ft). The World highest mountains Five (5) out of fourteen (14) peaks above 8,000 m are in Pakistan, four of which are at the head of Baltoro glacier in Karakoram near Concordia and one at the end of western Himalya range. These ranges covered 68 peaks over 7,000 m and hundreds others of over 6,000 meters.
The Northern Pakistan has some of the longest glaciers outside Polar region; Siachen (72 km), Hispar (61 km), Biafo (60 km), Baltoro (60 km) and Batura (64 km).

“The Eighth Wonder of the World “ Karakoram Highway(Silk Road)

KKH

For centuries, the ancient Silk Road remained the main trading route between the South and the Central Asia. After the construction of the Karakoram Highway (KKH) along the same alignment, which joins Pakistan with the Chinese Muslim autonomous region of Xinjang, the ancient trade link has been revived.
The 805 km. dual carriage metalled road starts from Havelian 100 km. From Islamabad and winds through Abbottabad-Mansehra-Thakot-Besham-Pattan-Sazin-Ghils-Gilgit-Hunza to the Chinese Frontier across the 4,733 metres high Khunjerab Pass.

The road built by the Pakistan Army engineers in association with the Chinese experts and technicians has been described as a marvel of civil engineering and even as "The Eighth Wonder of the World". Completed in 15 years, it has been forced through some of the world's toughest terrain. The KKH has provided a great opportunity for international travelers to explore the unspoiled natural beauty, unique culture and traditions of the Northern Pakistan together with other Silk Route destinations like China, Kirgizstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
